Villa Galli is in Caslino d'Erba, about 15 km from Como: 15 minutes by car along the Valassina valley. It is the right distance to see the Duomo, walk the lakefront and ride the Brunate funicular during the day, then come back up to the hills where you sleep in silence, with parking at the door instead of paid parking downtown.

Milan by train, without moving the car. From Caslino d'Erba station the train reaches Milano Cadorna in just over an hour, direct and hourly. You step off right in the centre, by the Sforza Castle and on metro lines M1 and M2, while your car stays parked here.
Getting to Como from Villa Galli
- By car: about 30 minutes (15 km) along the SP41 through the Valassina valley.
- By train: from Caslino d'Erba station changing at Erba, or drive to Como and take the ferry to the lake villages.
- Ferries leave Como pier for Bellagio, Varenna and Tremezzo: a day on the lake without getting back on the road.
